Immediately upon contact, greet them in a calm polite manner, and introduce yourself.
You are to include:
- Your Last Name
- Company Name (RANGER)
- That we provide security for the property
Why should we be calm and polite?
It helps de-escalate potential conflict and ensures a smooth, respectful interaction.
Step 2
STATE THE REASON FOR CONTACT
Officer states the reason for contacting them.
(inform them of the violation).
By explaining the reason for making contact upfront, you take away their ability to argue.
Examples
- Excessive Noise
- Curfew Violation
- Vehicle Repair
- Parking in Fire Lane

REQUEST INFORMATION
REQUESTING INFORMATION
- Request Driver’s License, ID, or Passport
- Ask if they are a Resident, Visitor, or know anyone onsite
- This helps determine their connection to the property.
Assess the condition of the violator and their vehicle.
- Look for signs of impairment or anything unusual
Look for other offenses while you are there
- Stay observant for additional violations
